Turtle in the track....

Even ProRail knows how to make us happy. Today a turtle in the track between two railroad rods, near Zutphen. The turtle was trapped and could not escape. The Animal Ambulance in that region did nothing with turtles, not even on the track....

After the train traffic was brought to a halt, an employee of ProRail removed the turtle from the tracks and took it to the station in Zwolle.

Our remote volunteers, Hans and Bertina (POAs) are immediately come and get the turtle in a hurry. Unfortunately, the turtle had some injuries from previous trains, so it is superficial.

The turtle is now being treated in the shelter.
