Schildpaddenopvang Harkema receives €45,000 from Stichting Dierenlot.

Last Saturday, November 6, during the Dierenlot congress for animal aid organizations, it was announced that Stichting Schildpaddenopvang Nederland in Harkema received a dream cheque of no less than € 40.000.- This amount has recently been applied for to realize a special quarantine room for long-term sick turtles. The amount will also be spent on a so-called drum filter for the outdoor pond of the shelter. With such a filter, the water can be kept cleaner and therefore clear and fresh. Gerard van der Wijk, manager of the shelter.

As icing on the cake, Stichting Dierenlot also treated each organization that was present all day with € 5000, -.

With this money we are going to do very nice things for our animals, we hope to hold an open day again next year so that everyone can admire this. We will announce this on our website and social media.
