Urgent search for temporary shelters

We are eagerly looking for organizations or individuals who like to temporarily take care of found turtles. This with permission (mandate) from us as licensee. Especially with today’s fuel prices, we can no longer afford to drive all over the country for every turtle. In order not to have to stop, it is therefore advisable that we pick up several turtles at once via a shuttle service.

The aim is to provide temporary shelter and proper housing for the turtles. Most turtles are picked up within 24 hours but in the busy period this can take a little longer.

We do not give any compensation, simply because we do not get it and therefore cannot bear it. Your motivation must really be to save the turtles, just like us:) However, we can provide any collection material free of charge such as aquariums, pumps, etc. and you are always in direct contact with us for help.

On the map you can see in which areas we are still looking for help. For the middle and south of the Netherlands the need is the highest! Here are extremely many turtles found and is little to no help. But also other parts of the Netherlands still need enough help.

Do you want to help? Send us an email and we will respond as soon as possible.
