Great collaboration with Wildopvang Zuid-Holland

What a positivity! Stichting Schildpaddenopvang Nederland is happy to work together with other organisations to safely house turtles from all over the country in the shelter in Harkema. We understand very well that animal ambulances far from the shelter can not drive out for every turtle to get the animal in Friesland within 24 hours. A system has been devised with volunteers all over the country and now something beautiful has come from the ground: Wildopvang Zuid-Holland is available as an emergency shelter for turtles.

All animal ambulances that already bring animals there can now also bring orphaned turtles with peace of mind. Of course, this also applies to private finders. The animals are then picked up by an employee of the turtle shelter. We are extremely happy with this fantastic construction that ensures that more than 16 animal ambulances can legally leave turtles at the shelter with a peace of mind and get a better, tropical life. Lieve Wildlife refuge South Holland, you guys are amazing. Thank you on behalf of the turtles and the team of the Turtle Shelter.
